Email to inbox

Email to Inbox lets you forward any email to a personal address and have it turn into a task automatically. Subject → title. Body → note. Capture from your inbox without leaving your flow. It's GTD capture from anywhere.

Why it helps

In GTD, capture happens everywhere. You're in email, you see something that needs action—you could switch to the app, add a task, switch back. Or you could forward it. One action. It lands in your Inbox. You process it later. No context switching. No "I'll remember to add that."

How it works

  1. Get your inbox email address from Settings → General → Email to inbox.
  2. Forward or BCC any email to that address.
  3. A task is created in your inbox.
  4. Subject → task title
  5. Body → task note
  6. Attachments (if supported) are saved with the task.

Getting your inbox address

  1. Go to Settings (user menu → Settings).
  2. Open General.
  3. Find Email to inbox.
  4. Your address is shown (e.g. [email protected]).
  5. Click to copy.

Each workspace has a unique address.

Use cases

  • Forward meeting invites – "Discuss Q1 roadmap" + meeting details
  • Email yourself reminders – Quick capture from your phone
  • BCC from support tickets – Turn tickets into tasks
  • Forward newsletters – "Read this later" as a task

Processing email-created tasks

Tasks from email land in the Inbox like any other. Process them via:

  • Classify – Batch assign project, status, priority
  • Clarify – Add details before classifying
  • Properties panel – Edit individually

Requirements

  • The feature must be enabled for your workspace (admin/backend setup).
  • Resend (or another provider) is configured for inbound email.
  • Your domain and webhook are set up correctly.

If you don't see the inbox address in Settings, the feature may not be enabled for your instance.
